The City of Kansas City's Aviation Department reports that 340,342 passengers arrived and departed through Kansas City International Airport’s gates in November, a 62.6 percent decrease from November 2019.

Passenger boardings were down 62.2 percent, with a total of 170,853 boarded. For the year to date, total passengers in and out total 4,150,687, down 61.7 percent. Year-to-date passenger boardings are 2,066,388, down 61.9 percent.

Air cargo tonnages for all carriers, which consist of both freight and mail transported by air, were down 9.1 percent in November with a total of 15.5 million pounds handled. Year to date, 179.1 million pounds have been handled, down 7.4 percent. Air freight handled at KCI during November amounted to 15.3 million pounds, down 7.0 percent year-over-year..

Year to date, air freight is down 6.0 percent with a total of 176.4 million pounds handled. Air mail for November was down 67.4 percent from November 2019 with 188,441 pounds handled. Air mail year to date for 2020 is down 53.6 percent from 2019 with 2.7 million pounds handled.

The number of peak-day scheduled aircraft departures for November 2020 was 104. Service was offered to 35 nonstop markets. There was an average of 19,206 arriving and departing scheduled seats in the market each day. The all-cargo carriers reported 6 daily arrivals for November.
