La Monte Woman Injured in Pettis County Crash

A La Monte woman was injured in a two-vehicle crash that occurred in Pettis County Thursday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2012 Chrysler 300 driven by 19-year-old Hunter A. Fisher of La Monte failed to yield and T-boned an eastbound 2011 Ford Fusion driven by 22-year-old Maria S. Lemus-Martinez of La Monte at Chestnut and Mason in La Monte at 9:20 p.m.

The Fusion skidded off the roadway and came to rest facing north. The Chrysler came to a controlled stop on the roadway facing south.

Lemus-Martinez suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD.

Both vehicles had moderate damage and were towed. Both drivers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Pettis County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
