Lebanon Man Drowns While Fishing on Gasconade River
The Missouri State Highway Patrol has reported that a Lebanon man drowned while fishing on the Gasconade River.
62-year-old Benny G. Wilson of Lebanon was fishing from an elevated location, about one mile up river from Hull Ford Access on the Osage Fork of the Gasconade just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
Wilson apparently slipped and fell into 10 feet of water, where he drowned. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell at 4:15 p.m. The body was taken to Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
