Linda Carol Schnakenberg, 71, of Otterville, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2016, at Sylvia G. Thompson Residence Center.

She was born May 26, 1944, in Sedalia, daughter of Starr Edwin and Norma Mae Homan Page. On March 28, 1964, in Lincoln, she married Eldor Dean Schnakenberg, who survives of the home.

Linda's greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed keeping her home, playing Bunko, doing cross stitch and sewing. She had worked for Teamsters Local 534, Dr. Stanley Fisher, the Sedalia License Office and at Homan Furniture. She attended Our Savior Lutheran Church for over 50 years.

In addition to her husband of 51 years, she is survived by two daughters, Renee Weller (Gary), of Sedalia, Melissa Steck (Sean), of Otterville; five grandchildren, Amber Schnakenberg, Morgan Steck, Emma Weller, Caitlin Weller and Chase Steck; a step-granddaughter, Amanda Weller; and her brother, Jerry Page (Linda), of Smithton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Schnakenberg.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Heckart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen Zeller officiating.
Casket bearers will be Brian Aggeler, Jared Page, Chase Steck, Sean Steck, Bryce Stephens and Gary Weller.

Honorary bearers will be Amber Schnakenberg, Morgan Steck, Emma Weller, Caitlin Weller and Amanda Weller.

Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at Heckart Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Alan D. Schnakenberg Memorial Scholarship at State Fair Community College.
