Funeral Announcements for June 18, 2026

Prayers of the rosary for William W. “Bill” Walje, 76, of Sedalia, formerly of Jefferson City, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 18 at St. Vincent de Paul Sacred Heart Chapel, with visitation to follow. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors conducted at the graveside. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A celebration of life is being planned and will be announced at a later date for Dawn Marie Guthrie, 63, of Sedalia. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

A celebration of life for Dion Charles Marshall Sims-Bey, 18, of Sedalia, will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for Velma Ilene (Wolf) Leaton, 95, of Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Burial will be at Highland Sacred Gardens.

Graveside service for Dennis D. Johnson, 78, of Sedalia will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 22 at Union Cemetery, in Florence. Arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

Funeral service for Matthew Lee Burlingame, 41, of Marshall,  will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 18 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial will follow at Longwood Cemetery.

Visitation for Isaac David Gehrke, 42, of Sedalia, will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 27 at Heckart Funeral Home with memorial services beginning at 11 a.m.

A Celebration of Life for Dylan Michael Zane, 30, of Sedalia, will be announced by the family at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Rea Funeral Chapel.
