Funeral Announcements for September 10, 2026

A celebration of life for Kelly Leann Burkholder, 65, of Sedalia, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at First Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Rea Funeral Chapel.

Funeral service for Joseph "Joe Don" Donald Gordon, 73, of Hughesville, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 11 at Rea Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the chapel. Burial will follow at High Point Cemetery in Hughesville.

A celebration of life is being planned for a later date for Marilyn Jeane Hunnell, 90, of Sedalia. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

The family of  Archie “Paul” Landes, Jr., 78, of Columbia will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at Heckart Funeral Home, where funeral services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation for Roland Glenn Wade, 89, of Sedalia, will be held at 9:30 Saturday, Sept. 12 at Heckart Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 11 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. Full military honors will be conducted at graveside.

A celebration of life for Ramona Jean Newman, 72, Sedalia, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19 at Katy Baptist Church. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be held at a later date for Ronald Eugene Bale, 71, of Sedalia. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heckart Funeral Home and Cremation Services.

The family of Sherry Lynn (Hendrickson) Vinson, 69, of Sedalia, will receive friends from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12 at Heckart Funeral Home, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family of Charles Michael “Mike” Smethers, 81, of Sedalia,  will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at First Baptist Church in Sedalia. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements are in care of Heckart Funeral Home.
