Major Case Squad Investigating the Shooting of Warrensburg Bar Owner

On Saturday, September 1, the Warrensburg Police Department received reports of shots fired in the 1000 Block of Sunflower at 9:30 p.m.  The Warrensburg Police found 25-year-old William "Blaine" Whitworth dead at the scene.

Whitworth was the owner of Bodie's and Molly's bar in Warrensburg, and also studied Safety Management at the University of Central Missouri.

According to Warrensburg Police Chief Bruce Howey, the Missouri Rural Major Case Squad will be activated on Tuesday to assist in the investigation of Whitworth's death.
