Man Sentenced to Life in Cape Girardeau Shooting Death
A Cape Girardeau man will likely spend the rest of his life in prison for shooting a man in the back of the head after a night of drinking and drug use.
Twenty-six-year-old Malcom Harris was sentenced Friday for second-degree murder in the May 2016 death of Domorlo McCaster.
In addition to the life sentence for murder, Harris was sentenced to 41 more years on other charges, to be served consecutively.
The Southeast Missourian reports the killing occurred whiles Harris, McCaster and two other men sat in the a car in the driveway of a Cape Girardeau home. Witnesses at an earlier hearing testified it was not clear why Harris shot McCaster.
