Marshall Man Injured When Jeep Overturns in Saline County

A Marshall man was injured in a one-vehicle rollover crash that occurred in Saline County on Wednesday evening.

According to the MSHP, 36-year-old Christopher Bethel of Marshall was the driver of an eastbound 1980 Jeep on 159th Road, one mile west of Highway 65 at 6:25 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway. The driver overcorrected and the Jeep returned and then traveled off the road a second time, overturned and came to rest on its top.

Bethel suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by private vehicle. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Jeep had extensive damage.
