The Western Missouri Medical Center Foundation is hosting Fire & Ice: Midnight in Paris on January 23 from 6 to 10 p.m. in the Sandra Temple Elliott Ballroom at the University of Central Missouri.

Midnight in Paris, the sixth annual Fire & Ice Gala, will feature casino games, an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a silent and live auction, and cash prizes and raffles in an evening of refined elegance and enchanting allure.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with check-in during which you will receive an auction program, bidding number, gaming tokens, and a signature beverage. From then until 8:30 you can preview items from both auctions, enjoy the open bar and hors d’oeuvres, listen to music, and games.

At 8:30, the silent auction and gaming will end to make way for statements about support from the WMMC Foundation and guest speakers. At 9, the live auction and prize drawings will commence. Finally, at 10 p.m., check-out will open.

You can purchase tickets to the event at this link: https://wmmc.com/fire/ Tickets purchased before or on December 15 qualify for the Early Bird Special discount bringing the price per ticket to $100, $25 off.

All proceeds from the evening will go towards the Empower Through Early Detection 2025 Capital Campaign to Enhance Breast Cancer Diagnosis and Care at WMMC. This $880,000 project will bring cutting-edge breast imaging technology to the community.

WMMC will fund the $25,000 construction, while the WMMC Foundation will raise the $855,000 required to acquire two new mammography machines and one new ultrasound machine. The improved facilities and equipment will reduce wait times, improve comfort, lower radiation exposure, and enhance diagnostic accuracy, saving lives in the process.
