This morning at approximately 8:48 a.m., Benton County Dispatch received a call from a reporting party stating that Christi E. Davis, 61, of Warsaw, walked away from their home off of Benton House Avenue sometime during the night and failed to return home, according to a facebook post from Sheriff Eric Knox on Wednesday.

The reporting party stated that this has happened in the past, but Davis has always returned.

Benton County deputies, the Henry County K9 team, Warsaw Police, Corp Rangers, Missouri Water Patrol and Warsaw fire arrived on scene to start the search.

Mac Vorce, Director of the Warsaw Chamber of Commerce even took time out of his schedule to ride the trails in an effort to find Davis.

Benton County Central Dispatch had assets coming from all over Mid Missouri to help locate Davis but was able to cancel them when she was located almost two miles from her home at approximately 12 p.m. Davis was disoriented and thirsty but in good condition.

"Thank you to all of you for a job well done! We are grateful for a happy ending," Knox commented.
