Missouri State Fair Announces New Grandstand Show For Friday Night
The Missouri State Fair announced late Wednesday evening a whole new show for Friday night. Country-blues rocker Frankie Ballard will now headline the grandstand show on Friday, August 20 at 7:30 CDT.
Ballard mixes heartland rock with traditional country and blues. Ballard's album "Sunshine & Whiskey" had three consecutive singles go to number one. The title track, "Sunshine & Whiskey"; "Helluva Life"; and "Young & Crazy". "Young & Crazy also went to number 3 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart in 2015.
Opening for Ballard will be Alex Miller. Miller is a champion of traditional country music and became familiar to a wider global audience when he appeared on "American Idol" this past winter.
The original openers for Friday night's show, Charley Crockett and Tim Montana are no longer on the show's bill for Friday night.
Ticket holders who previously purchased tickets for the Colter Wall show on Friday night, August 20, who would like to see Frankie Ballard and Alex Miller -- your original ticket purchased will work for entrance to the show.
