Missouri State Fair Highlights: Sunday, August 18, 2013

Today (Aug. 18), is Law Enforcement/Firefighter Appreciation Day. There is free gate admission for Municipal, County and State Law Enforcement and Missouri Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics with appropriate I.D. and $1 gate admission for immediate family members. All Missouri State Fair goers will get in for the Fair Finale for half price. You can also get $15 in unlimited carnival rides.

The Pedal Pull, sponsored by Sydenstrickers, will take place at the Lowell Mohler Assembly Hall with registration at 9:30 a.m. and start time at 10 a.m. The State Championships will take place follwing with an 11 a.m. registration and noon start time.

The Bud Stage will feature the finals of the Missouri State Fair Idol 2 p.m.

The State Fair Arena will feature the Demolition Derby at 2 p.m.

The Missouri Fiddling Contest will be at 1:30 p.m. at the Touchstone Energy Stage.
