12-year-old victim struck by a vehicle in Johnson County Monday night
Just before 9:00 Monday night, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on 900 Southwest road at 725 Road in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the driver of a 2008 Ford F350, 42-year-old Daniel Miles of Holden, attempted to back through a snow drift and struck a pedestrian identified as 12-years-old Garrison Miles also of Holden. The 12-year-old suffered serious injuries and was taken to Research Hospital Center for treatment.
Early morning accident in Pettis County injures a Sedalia man
At 2 a.m. Saturday morning, the Missouri State Highway patrol along with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office investigated a rollover accident that occurred on Route “T” South of Wood Road in Pettis County. The accident happened according to the report when 2005 Dodge driven by 29-year-old Robert Anderson of Sedalia traveled off the roadway and overturned into a pond. Anderson received moderate injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Sweet Springs EMS for treatment.
Lafayette County accident Saturday injures an 85-year-old Higginsville man
Around 10:15 Saturday morning, the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a two-vehicle accident on Route “U” a tenth of a mile West of Hoffman Road in Lafayette County. According to the report, the accident happened as the Massey Ferguson Farm Tractor driven by 85-year-old John Marth of Higginsville pulled into the path of a 2000 Peterbuilt driven by 28-year-old James Marion of Elizabeth Indiana, causing it to strike the farm tractor in the side. Marth suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Centerpoint Hospital by EMS for treatment.
