The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one vehicle accident that injured a Concordia teenager, late Sunday night.

The accident occurred just after 10:30 Sunday night in Lafayette County at Bertram and Minuteman Roads. The 1996 Mercury travelled off the left side of the road, where it impacted an embankment and the undercarriage was damaged. The car then impacted a ditch and overturned. The driver, identified as 17-year old Austin C. Werths, of Concordia, was thrown from the vehicle. The car then came to rest on top of him.

Austin Werths was taken to Saint Luke’s Medical Center, by Life Flight, for the treatment of serious injuries.
