Moonlight Market Kicks Off Warrensburg Farmers’ Market
If you've missed heading into downtown Warrensburg for the Farmers' Market like me, your wait is almost over.
The Warrensburg Farmers' Market will kick off the 2021 season with a Moonlight Market on Saturday evening April 24.
The market will be open from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will include artisans, food trucks and live music. The live music will be provided by country-dance band Bluestem playing classic country, 90's country, red dirt and Classic Rock. Food trucks confirmed for the event include The Food Spot and Granny's Ole Fashion Kettlekorn.
Starting Saturday, May 1, the market will be open every Saturday morning through September by the Courthouse in from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.. According to the Warrensburg Farmers' Market Facebook page there are still a few slots available for vendors who would like to join the market for this season. More information for vendors can be found here.
What I like about the Warrensburg Farmers' Market is heading over the courthouse in the morning and picking up some fresh baked goods and fruit for breakfast. Or some fresh vegetables for dinner that night. And since I live fairly close, and the market is early in the day, it's great to get up and walk over to the courthouse. Pick up what I need and get back home before my wife Kathy is even up. It's the perfect way to start a Saturday morning.
There's a few ways you can keep up with the farmers' market. The first is to text "WBURGFM" to 900-900. The second is to follow the Warrensburg Farmers' Market Facebook page.
