Serious injuries reported for a Mora man in a Pettis County accident Thursday

At 6:30pm Thursday morning a 48-year-old Mora man identified as 48-year-old Richard A. Sprouse of Mora suffered  serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Route “V” East of Gardenia Road in Pettis County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report the accident occurred as the 2006 Ford Mustang Sprouse was driving travelled off the roadway, struck a warning sign, a ditch, and several trees before coming to rest in the roadway. Sprouse was transported to University Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

19-year-old Cole Camp woman loses control of her vehicle on icy road Thursday morning

Around 7:30am Thursday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported an injury accident on Route “V” at Spring Fork Road in Pettis County. The accident reportedly occurred when the 1997 GMC driven by 19-year-old Angela M. McCloud of Cole Camp crested a hill and lost control on the icy roadway. The vehicle left the roadway, overturned, and slid into a ditch. McCloud received moderate injuries in the accident, and was taken to Golden Valley Hospital by Cole Camp EMS for treatment.

Higginsville woman injured in a vehicle/pedestrian accident early Thursday morning

At 5:26am Thursday morning The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a vehicle accident on Highway-65 at 275th Road in Saline County involving a pedestrian. According to the report the accident occurred as a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by 54-year-old Richard A. Winfrey of Carrollton was reportedly travelling too fast for conditions, and slid out of control. The Winfrey vehicle struck a 1998 Chrysler Sirrus driven by 30-year-old James E. Elliott of Corder, which was parked in a ditch, and a pedestrian identified as 47-year-old Mary E. Elliott. Mary Elliott was taken to the University Hospital by Air Evac for treatment of serious injuries. After striking the pedestrian the Winfrey vehicle travelled off the roadway, and struck a ditch before coming to rest. Winfrey received minor injuries and was transported to Fitzgibbon Hospital by Saline County EMS for treatment.

Ice on roadway  blamed for rollover accident in Benton County Thursday morning

Around 6:20am Thursday morning 41-year-old Leigh A. Robb of Lincoln received minor injuries when her vehicle travelled off of Route “B” North of Highway “AE” in Benton County, struck an embankment, and overturned. The Missouri State Highway Patrol report states Robb’s 2002 GMC Yukon struck ice on the roadway, which caused the driver to lose control of the Yukon. Robb was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by Cole Camp EMS for treatment of her injuries. The Yukon was reportedly totaled.

Warrensburg man injured in a Johnson County accident Thursday morning

At 6:35am Thursday morning the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Route “DD” just under a mile East of Southeast 611 Road in Johnson County. The accident occurred according to the report as the 2007 Saturn driven by 35-year-old Daniel Lopez of Warrensburg travelled off the roadway and struck a guardrail.  Lopez received minor injuries in the crash, and was taken to Western Missouri Medical in Warrensburg by Johnson County Ambulance District for treatment.
