Three Versailles residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Saturday in Morgan County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound 1998 GMC Sierra, driven by 79-year-old Gary M. Cook of Stover, attempted to make a left turn onto Route FF from Highway 52 and pulled into the path of an eastbound 2009 Toyota Scion, driven by 29-year-old Ashley M. Harrison of Versailles.

The Scion struck the GMC around 5:35 p.m. Injured were Harrison and her two female daughters, ages 9 and 10.

All three were transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment. The nine-year-old suffered minor injuries, while the other two had serious injuries. Ashley Harrison was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

Cook was wearing a seat belt, and was reportedly uninjured.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.
