Music Teacher Appreciation Day Is March 12

On Monday, March 9, Mayor John Kehde join his grandson, Edson Kehde, along with Edson's music teacher, Justin Lawson to announce Music Teacher Appreciation Day for Sedalia, to be held Thursday, March 12.

Sedalia is fortunate to have so many talented, dedicated music teachers within our community. Justin provides private music lessons through Wilkens Music and also organizes Sedalia's yearly event, Making the Band.

In 2019, Mayor Kehde proclaimed March 12 as Music Teacher Appreciation Day for Sedalia in honor of the late Jordan Ali Halane, a Sedalia native and beloved music teacher.
