The Nace Brothers will perform a free concert behind the Liberty Center, 111 W. 5th , this Saturday starting at 6 p.m.

There will be beer, wine and spirits for purchase. There will also be a food truck on the lot. Please bring your own lawn chair. All proceeds will go to the construction of a permanent stage and concert venue on the site. In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside the theater.

Seating inside is limited to 300.

LCAA Executive Director Diane Burnett said the Nace Brothers are from Warrensburg, but their bass player, Chase McRoy, is from Sedalia. The band will perform on a flatbed trailer provided by Ditzfeld Transfer.

“We're hoping to have an outdoor concert stage at the Liberty Center in the future. And the Hayden family has generously decided that they will give matching funds up to $15,000,” Burnett said. The entire cost of the project is estimated at around $60,000.

“We're calling it The Lot,” Burnett noted. The project includes turf, fencing and a permanent outdoor stage. She added that the she hopes the project will be completed by the end of summer.

Dirt Road Addiction is scheduled to perform June 18, and Cedar Creek will be at the Liberty Center July 9.
