Members of Boonslick Regional Library now have access to even more resources from the library's website. "We're trying to draw attention to our online resources," said Jackie Oliphant, library assistant at Boonslick Regional Library's Sedalia branch. "One of our newer online resources is a universal class that offers online writing courses." Online workshops on topics such as creative writing, vocabulary building, business writing, writing basics, proof reading and copy editing are available. "There are just a whole lot of different resources where people can really learn how to improve their writing."

In addition to writing workshops, the library offers a long list of online, including downloadable books, audio books, and homework helpers for every age of students.

A recent addition to Boonslick Regional Library's online resources also allows library members to download digital comic books. "We've got magazines, and downloadable books, and now we also have comic books," said Oliphant. Library users can download comic books to their digital devices, or read them on the library's website. "To download the comic books, they do need to set up an account. They'll have to set up a login with a username and password." Library cards are also required.

Boonslick Regional Library is the free library for Pettis County residents who live outside the city limits of Sedalia. To get a library card, Pettis County residents must present a photo ID in addition to a current bill or piece of mail to verify addresses. Sedalia residents may get a library card, but must pay a $25 annual fee.
