Seats are available in State Fair Community College’s spring Associate Degree Nursing-Advanced Placement (Year Two) program that begins Jan. 11, 2021, on the Sedalia and Eldon campuses.

Prospective students must first apply for SFCC admission and then apply for program admission by Oct. 1 to be considered for classes that begin Jan. 11.

Seats also are available in SFCC-Eldon’s spring Practical Nursing (Year One) program. SFCC-Sedalia’s spring Practical Nursing program is full at this time; however, eligible students can still apply should seats become available.

SFCC’s competency-based bi-level program prepares students to meet the requirements to become a licensed practical nurse, and then transition seamlessly to associate degree nursing if the goal is to become a registered nurse. Those who are already certified LPNs or paramedics can apply to the associate degree nursing program.

SFCC’s Nursing programs are approved by the Missouri State Board of Nursing (MSBN). At the completion of Year One, students apply to the MSBN for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam for practical nursing. At the end of Year Two, students apply to the MSBN to take the NCLEX-RN licensure exam for registered nursing. Completion of these programs does not guarantee eligibility to take the licensure exams. Both programs are ranked #1 by PracticalNursing.org and RegisteredNursing.org.

Program admission is competitive, and class size is limited. Application requirements are available at sfccmo.edu/nursing. There is no cost to apply.
