One Dead, Two Injured in Las Vegas Shooting

One man is dead and two women were injured after a shooting took place in a room at the Mirage on the Las Vegas strip Thursday night around 8:30 p.m.

An altercation apparently happened between four people in the room. One shot the other three,  then left the room. Police were still searching for the suspect as of Friday morning.

The suspect, whom Las Vegas Police have not identified not released a photo, reportedly has ties to the area.

The two female survivors were taken to UMC Hospital in critical condition.

Security restricted access to the Mirage with a total lockdown, but later allowed guests to return to the property at 10:50 p.m.

Police said that all four people in the hotel room knew each other.

A manhunt was under way for a heavy-set black man, police said.
