One Driver Injured after Vehicle Strikes Deer in Pettis County
A 43-year old woman from Fortuna, MO was injured Tuesday night after her vehicle struck a deer in the roadway in Pettis County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 8:40, on Highway 50 just east of Route O.
According to the online crash report, a 2011 GMC struck a deer in the road and the vehicle came to rest, blocking the eastbound lane.
The driver, Kellie J. Newell, suffered minor injuries in the accident. Newell was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by EMS for treatment.
The report indicates that Newell was wearing a safety device.
