A motorcycle wreck in Benton County resulted in a Versailles man being flown to a Columbia hospital with serious injuries Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the wreck at 7:15, on Highway 52 just west of Route A.

According to the online crash report, the driver of a 1998 Honda Goldwing lost control of the motorcycle and was ejected. The motorcycle came to rest in a ditch.

The driver, 45-year old John H. Stafford, suffered serious in the wreck. Stafford was taken to University Hospital, by Life Flight Eagle, for treatment.
