A two-vehicle accident in Pettis County, sent one man to the hospital with serious injuries, early Monday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 4:30 a.m. on North 65 Highway, just south of Anderson School Road.

A 2006 Chevrolet Uplander and a 2011 Harley Davidson Softtail were both traveling north on Highway 65, when the Chevy struck the rear of the Harley Davidson. The driver of the Harley Davidson was ejected from the bike. According to that report, both vehicles than became entangled, traveling off the right side of the road and into a ditch.

The driver of the Chevy, 25-year old Ethan R. Jackson, of Warsaw, was not injured, according to that report.

However, the driver of the Harley Davidson, 57-year old Richard J. Moore, of  Shawnee KS, suffered serious injuries in the accident. Moore was taken to Research Main Hospital for treatment.

According to the online report, both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
