Osceola Teen Injured After Truck Tire Falls Off

A teenager from Osceola was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Wednesday morning after the truck he was driving lost a tire.

The incident happened at 10:37 a.m. in Henry County on Highway 13, south of Z, according to a report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

19-year-old Tristan R. Basaldua of Osceola was northbound on 13 when the 2014 Chevy Silverado lost a tire and the truck traveled off the left side of the road. The driver then overcorrected and the vehicle traveled back on the roadway and off the right side.

Basaldua suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Citizen Memorial Ambulance to Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton for treatment.

The Silverado was totaled.

Henry County deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
