A man was arrested on child pornography charges after a search warrant was executed at his residence in Park HIlls, Missouri on Tuesday. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, investigators discovered child pornography on computer equipment owned by 35-year-old Shawn Woolridge. Woolridge was formally charged with three counts of possession of child pornography on Wednesday.

EMPHASIS: Park Hills Man Arrested For Child Pornography

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control announces the arrest of Shawn R. Woolridge, 35, of Park Hills, Missouri, on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, for possession of child pornography. The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit.

On Tuesday, investigators executed a search warrant at Woolridge’s residence located on Fifth Street, in Park Hills. As a result of their search, investigators seized child pornography and computer equipment. Woolridge was arrested and transported to the St. Francois County Jail. On Wednesday, November 7, 2018, the St. Francois County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office formally charged Woolridge with three counts of possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $75,000.

The Division of Drug and Crime Control encourages Internet users to report promptly to the Patrol or local law enforcement anyone who attempts to engage in unwanted, inappropriate, or sexualized communications with children. The Digital Forensics Investigative Unit is partially funded by the Missouri Department of Public Safety State Cyber Crime Grant and the Missouri Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
The above charges are mere accusations and are not evidence of guilt. Evidence in support of these charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
