
Joint Proclamation Observes Parliamentary Law Month
On Thursday, Pettis County and the City of Sedalia jointly issued a proclamation recognizing April 2026 as Parliamentary Law Month.
The proclamation highlighted the importance of parliamentary procedure in promoting effective governance, civic engagement and orderly decision-making.

Parliamentary law provides a structured framework for conducting meetings, ensuring fairness, transparency, and efficiency in public decision-making.
The proclamation encourages residents to learn about and appreciate the role parliamentary procedure plays in strengthening democratic processes at the local level.
