At yesterday's Pettis County COVID-19 Task Force briefing Pettis County Health Center said they're working as quickly as possible to get those who have pre-registered though them an appointment to receive the coronavirus vaccine.

Those who receive a call scheduling an appointment will receive the vaccine. And with multiple places in the community providing vaccinations, PCHC asks people to pay close attention to where they need to go to get the vaccine.

Additionally PCHC is asking people to not show up more than 15 minutes early for their vaccine. And for people who don't have an appointment to NOT wait at a vaccination site in case someone does not show up. At this time there are no walk in vaccinations. And PCHC wants to make it easy to quickly move people through vaccination sites while maintaining social distancing.

If you have not yet pre-registered with PCHC to receive the COVID-19 vaccine you can fill out the pre-registration form here. Once filled out the form must be downloaded and emailed to Pettis County Health Center or printed and faxed, mailed, or dropped off at the Pettis County Health Center between 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM CST. For those that don't have access to email or a paper form they may call the PCHC at 660-827-1130 to register.

Even with the vaccine available PCHC is asking all to still wear masks, practice social distancing and frequently wash hands. PCHC says in order to relax COVID-19 precautions 75% of the community needs to be immunized.
