Sedalia Police investigated an incident that occurred on Wednesday morning in which a pedestrian was struck by a 2000 Chevy S10 at South Grand and Magnolia.

According to a report, the southbound Chevy S10, driven by 73-year-old Donald R. Perry of Sedalia, struck the unidentified pedestrian at 6:42 a.m. as they walked westbound into the path of the Chevy.

The pedestrian reported back pain and was taken to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD. The driver of the Chevy was reportedly uninjured and there was no damage to the vehicle.

However, a computer check revealed that Perry was driving while suspended. He was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail with a Jan. 8 court date.
