Missouri Birthday Blessings Announce Cutbacks
Missouri Birthday Blessings is cutting back on the counties they cover, the organization announced this week.
However, Birthday Blessings of Pettis County will continue to exist in a local capacity. Financial support is crucial to continue the organization's mission of providing children in Foster Care with gifts and supplies needed for a birthday party.
Financial donations will be accepted at Life Pointe Church with “Birthday Blessing” in the Memo Line and dropped off at the church or mailed to 2921 W Broadway Sedalia Mo., 65301.
The program will be taken over completely by LifePointe and will no longer be supported by Birthday Blessings. Checks should be made out to LifePointe rather than Birthday Blessings, according to Shannon Marie, executive director of Birthday Blessings.
If you or your company, church or organization would like to donate toys and/or birthday party supplies, contact Jake Rigdon, senior office support assistant for the 18th Circuit Children’s Division, at (660) 619-1250.
Birthday Blessings (headquartered in West Plains, with volunteer teams including Sedalia) is funded through private donations, community partnerships and foundation grants.
