A one-vehicle injury accident in Pettis County resulted in a Hughesville man being flown to a Columbia hospital by Air Evac.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident Thursday afternoon around 12:30, at Walnut Grove Road and Little Muddy.

A 2006 Dodge traveled off the left side of the road and struck a sign. The Dodge then traveled down an embankment, where it overturned, and was submerged in a creek.

The driver, 63-year-old Charles S. Blaylock, of Hughesville, suffered moderate injuries in the accident. He was taken to University Hospital, by Air Evac, for treatment.

According to the report, the Dodge sustained extensive damage.
