UPDATE: Felon From Edwards in Custody
According to a facebook post by Pettis County Sheriff Brad Anders, area law enforcement is looking for 55-year-old Bradley D. Kumberg, of Edwards, Mo.
Here are the details:
On June 7 at approximately 8:53 p.m., Pettis County Deputies were informed of a pursuit entering Pettis County from Benton. The suspect driver, Bradley D. Kumberg, 55, of Edwards, Mo., was failing to yield a traffic stop; he was known to be the driver and wanted on multiple felony warrants.
The pursuit entered Pettis County and ended at a low water crossing near Ringen School Rd where the suspect vehicle was disabled crossing deep water; two pursuing vehicles were concomitantly disabled at said crossing. Kumberg fled on foot as deputies from both Benton and Pettis began rescue efforts to retrieve an officer swept off the low water crossing. A concerted, multi-agency search began when life-threatening situations were handled.
For the following 25 hours, numerous sightings of Kumberg have been reported. The last known location was near Echo Road near the intersection of M and V highways at the Pettis/Morgan County line.
Numerous agencies including Pettis County, Sedalia PD, MSHP, Lincoln Police, and Morgan Co Sheriff, have combed the thick, wooded area in search of Kumberg to no avail. If you have information on the whereabouts of Kumberg, you are urged contact dispatch at (660) 826-8100.
He is not known to be armed at this time, but use all precautions as necessary. Kumberg has a longer, gray goatee and was last seen wearing a black tank top and khaki shorts.
