Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for April 20, 2022
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
Early Monday morning at 12:19 a.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near 32nd and Clinton Road. During the stop, a passenger in a vehicle traveling east on 32nd Street threw a slice of cheese at the driver of the vehicle that Deputies had pulled over. The Pettis County K9 Unit was able to gather the vehicle's Missouri license plate number from the license plate reader that is attached to the patrol vehicle. The Pettis County K9 Unit and Deputies were able to locate the suspect vehicle and the suspects hiding in the vehicle. During investigation, the driver, who was a juvenile, was released to his parents. The other two occupants were given a summons for minor in possession of alcohol.
On Tuesday at 1:01 a.m., Pettis County Deputies conducted a traffic stop at 14th and Limit on a vehicle with no front license plate, and a rear plate that did not check to the vehicle. The driver, 38-year-old Ashley Schoenthal of Sedalia, was found to not have a valid driver's license after a check through Joint Communications. Schoenthal was then arrested for operating a motor vehicle without a valid driver's license and released on scene.
On Monday, Pettis County Deputies took a vandalism report in the 200 block of North Main in La Monte.
On Monday, Pettis County Deputies took a burglary report in the 3100 block of Oak Brook Circle. Some evidence was collected and an investigation continues.
On Thursday, Alicia Wehmeyer of Sedalia reported to the Pettis County Sheriff's Office that someone stole her medication.
On Thursday, Pettis County Deputies arrested Candice Wagenknecht in the 27000 block of Florence Road in Smithton, on a no-bond warrant for parole violation.
On Thursday, Pettis County Deputies arrested Michael Dickerson on a no-bond parole violation in the 200 block of Tuck in Houstonia.
