Poll: Who Do You Want To See at the 2022 Missouri State Fair?
Now that the 2021 Missouri State Fair is in the books. And the big concert this year seemed to be Hank Williams, Jr. We turn our attention to next year. And the question that tends to dominate a lot of fair talk. Who do you want to see play the Missouri State Fair next year?
This year was a challenging one when it comes to shows. Trace Adkins got rained out on the first night of the fair. Opener Cassadee Pope had to drop out. And after Colter Wall couldn't get here due to travel restrictions, Frankie Ballard was left with the difficult task of trying to entertain a fair audience that just didn't show up. Frankly, no one short of a really instantly recognizable name was going to do well that night.
So who do you want to see play in 2021. Do you think Trace Adkins should be booked again? Maybe third times a charm for him and the Fair? More rock? More pop? Bigger names?
This year I set the poll up a little differently. Last year I just had one long list of artists and didn't really pay attention to genre. This year I've set it up a little differently. There's a county poll, a classic artists poll, musical legends poll, and some fill-in blanks for Christian Rock and Red Dirt / Texas County / Americana artists you want to see. For the poll questions, you can check up to five artists for each section. And if I forgot someone you want to see, you can write it in. I probably did miss someone, and probably someone obvious.
Finally, not all the artists in our poll will book fair shows. Garth, Eagles, Fleetwood Mac. Probably not going to play the State Fair when they charge much more money and play The T-Mobile Center or Arrowhead Stadium. Whether you want to check those artists or save your five votes for artists you think are more realistic is up to you.
And in case you're wondering. Yes, we share the data with the State Fair. So have some fun and enjoy taking our poll on the artists you want to see play The 2022 Missouri State Fair.
