The City of Sedalia will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in the Mayor's Conference Room of the Sedalia Municipal Building, 200 S. Osage, on the proposed tax rates for 2016.

After the hearing, City Council will proceed with the adoption of the city property tax rates.

The Council will then hold a special meeting at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers which includes a public hearing for comments regarding the annexation of property owned by E.W. Thompson, Inc., involving a tract of land near Mitchell Road behind US Bank.

City Council will then proceed with the annexation of the property on Sept. 19.
