Roadrunners Baseball Falls to KCK in Home Opener
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners opened the home portion of their schedule with a 13-7 loss to Kansas City, Kansas Community College on Tuesday, March 1.
Sophomore outfielder/infielder Jacob McWhirter led the SFCC offense with four hits and two RBI. Sophomore catcher Hamilton Anderson had a pair of hits and two RBI. Sophomore catcher/outfielder Zach Dillman hit a home run in the game. Freshman outfielder Caleb Casto registered two hits and scored twice.
Freshman pitcher Ben Haug got the start and pitched 2.2 innings. Haug allowed seven runs on eight hits in the no decision. Freshman pitcher Zach Buschschulte pitched 2 2/3 innings in relief, gave up three runs, and was given the loss.
