Roadrunners Baseball Team to Host Hit-a-thon October 7

State Fair Community College’s Roadrunners baseball team invites the public to watch their 100-inning hit-a-thon fundraiser that will start at 10 a.m. Oct. 7 at Dey Field in the Liberty Park Stadium.

Admission is free, and concessions will be available.

The student-athletes are collecting pledges for the hit-a-thon. Proceeds will be used to purchase uniforms and equipment and to pay travel expenses to fall games in Florida. Last year’s event raised about $13,000.
