Smith-Cotton High School senior Keaton Belsha has accepted an athletic scholarship to
wrestle for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Okla.

Belsha, son of Misty and Gabe Belsha, was a four-year letter winner and three-time
captain for the Smith-Cotton wrestling program. He earned All-Conference honors three
times, was named to the All-District team twice and was the 2024 district champion at
175 pounds and a state qualifier. Belsha registered 101 career wins at S-C, setting the
school record for career falls and most consecutive wins by fall. He also was a 2022 state runner-up in Greco-Roman.

Smith-Cotton Wrestling Head Coach Joe Hulsey said, “Keaton has been a hard worker all four years of high school and has grown into a great role model and leader, not just in the wrestling room but in the community as well. Watching this young man progress
through high school has been an honor as a coach. The Smith-Cotton wrestling family is extremely proud of all his accomplishments and are super excited about the next chapter in his career.”
