Sacred Heart cross country team competed at the Smith-Cotton Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 17.

Each runner improved their time, with Clay Crooker and Ximena Lopez both shaving two minutes off their times. Each competitor ran hard and did their best. This paid off with a medal for each runner.

Ximena Lopez medaled with 18th place and Sarah Hill medaled with 19th place. They competed against 37 runners.

Clay Crooker medaled with 16th place and Jared Owens brought home 2nd place.

The boys competed against 68 runners.

Their next competition is at the Calvary Lutheran meet at Binder Park in Jefferson City on Oct. 1.
