Sacred Heart won their match against Sweet Springs Thursday night, 25-14 and 25-16.

In the first set, the Gremlins got the lead early and managed to keep the Greyhounds from making a come back.

In the second set, the Gremlins were able to catch another early lead, but after a few service errors, the Greyhounds were able to tie the set 11-11..

After three service errors, Freshman Kylie Beykirch stepped up and served the Gremlins to a lead late in the match with two aces leaving the match 18-11.  The Gremlins were able to hold that lead stopping the Greyhound run at 25-14.

Kylie Beykirch finished the match with one kill out of four swings, eight digs, 11 assists, and two aces.

Maddy McClain had 9 kills out of 15 swings, 7 digs, and 3 blocks
Zoe Volcko had 9 kills out of 14 swings, 4 aces, and 2 digs.
Grace Goodwin had 2 kills out of 7 swings, 4 assists, and 5 digs.
Kaytlin Kempf had 2 digs and 1 block
Taylor Siron had 1 ace and 1 dig
Hannah McDonald had 1 dig
Hayden Altena had 2 digs

Sacred Heart JV split two sets with Sweet Springs, winning the first set 25-18, and losing the second 21-25.

Emily McDonald led the Gremlins in kills with 6 kills out of 14 swings, followed by Claire Smeltzer with 5 kills out of 11 swings. Claire led the Gremlins in digs with 7.

Sacred Heart, 3-1, plays Hickman on Monday at home.
