A shooting was reported at Abundant Life Christian School in Madison, Wisconsin on Monday morning. 

Two people have been killed. One was a student while the other one was a teacher.. The 15-year-old female shooter is also dead, it was reported, due to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The victims were identified as Erin Michelle West, 42, how lived in DeForest, Wisconsin, and was a teacher at Abundant Life, and Rubi Patricia Vergara, 14, a freshman at Abundant Life.

Six people were transported to area hospitals. The shooter, identified as Natalie Rupnow, who went by the nickname "Samantha," a student at the private school, was also transported, and later died at the hospital.

Two students had life-threatening injuries and are in critical condition, police said.

Officers from the Madison Police Department were called to the scene at 10:57 a.m., with multiple injuries reported, according to WKOW-27.

A second grader was the one who called 911 to report the shooting.

Medics were actually training three miles from the school when the call came in, according to the Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes. They immediately responded.

Madison police asked the public to avoid the area.

A 9mm pistol was used in the deadly incident. The ATF is currently attempting to trace the gun.

“Multiple injuries have been reported. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. More information will be released as it is available,” Madison police said in an incident report.

Of the 83 school shootings this year, 56 of them have been reported on K-12 campuses, and 27 reported on university and college campuses across the nation.

The school is located in the 4800 block of East Buckeye Road.

Abundant Life Christian School is a K-12 school that sits on 28 acres in Dane County that serves roughly 420 students, according to its website.

The school was scheduled to close for Christmas break after classes this Friday.
