On August 8 Sedalia Police observed a man with two active felony warrants going into a house in the 1600 block of S. Osage Ave. Officers went into the residence and attempted to arrest the man, who was found hiding in a closet. As officers were placing 34-year-old Shannon Dale Davis into handcuffs, he pulled away. Davis was eventually arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Davis had a felony Pettis County warrant for forgery, and a felony warrant for a parole violation. Davis was also placed on a 24-hour hold for resisting arrest.


Pettis County Deputies made an arrest after responding to a physical disturbance in the 1300 block of E. Boonville on August 8. Dannis Ware was arrested on a Pettis County warrant and was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


On August 7 Sedalia Police took a report of a missing person. It was reported that 19-year-old Shay Turner left the New Haven facility on August 6 around 8:30 p.m. and has not returned. Turner was reportedly on medications for mental illness and has not been taking her medications. Turner has been entered into NCIC as a missing person.


Police say methamphetamine, marijuana, pills and drug paraphernalia were found on a 59-year-old Sedalia man during a subject check near the intersection of S. Ohio and W. 16th St. on August 7. Police say Richard Daniel Bain, Sr. was found to have an active warrant from the City of Sedalia on an original charge of no insurance, and the drugs were found during a search as Bain was being arrested.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested two residents of Nelson, MO on August 7. 21-year-old Darian Kordish and 19-year-old Allison Bennett were both taken to the Saline County Jail for domestic assault.
