A Sedalia man was arrested in connection with a vehicle accident an chase. The Pettis County Sheriff's Office says deputies were dispatched yesterday to US 50 and MM Highway where a vehicle was being chased by another vehicle. It was discovered that the suspect's vehicle had rammed another vehicle causing an accident west of MM Highway. The suspect was identified as Darrell Crain of Sedalia, who was arrested in the 1400 block of S. Kentucky on charges of second degree assault with a vehicle and first degree property damage. The incident remains under investigation.


A Lee's Summit man was arrested around 5:40 yesterday morning after Johnson County deputies were dispatched to an address in rural Kingsville in regards to a trespassing complaint. Deputies say the man initially provided a false name but was later identified as 40-year-old Steven Ward. Authorities say Ward was in possession of stolen items belonging to a nearby church. Ward was taken into custody and placed on a 24 hour investigative hold. A warrant was obtained for Burglary 2nd degree with a bond of $7,500.00 cash or surety.


The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 22-year-old Cheyenne Smith of Sedalia for DWI-Drugs on February 23. Smith was transported to the Warrensburg Police Department and was later released.


34-year-old Brett A. Wilson of Marshall was arrested around 4:35 p.m. on February 23. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Wilson was taken into custody for felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Wilson was transported to the Ray County Jail and was later released.


A Colorado woman was arrested in Cooper County on February 24 on charges including delivery of a controlled substance - 5 pounds of marijuana, and delivery of a controlled substance - hallucinogen - 2 ounces of psilocybin mushrooms. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 33-year-old Melissa K. James of Windsor, CO was taken to the Cooper County Jail.
