Sedalia Police made two arrests following a traffic stop Monday at S. Osage Ave. and W. 6th St. According to a police report, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were discovered in the vehicle. Both the driver, 35-year-old Jason Bodenstab, and a passenger, 34-year-old Bradley Bottcher, were arrested. Bottcher was taken to the hospital due to ingestion of methamphetamine. Charges are being submitted to the state prosecutor.


Police took a report of vandalism on February 25. It was reported that the slave cabin at the Rose M. Nolan Black History Library had been vandalized. Several poster boards had been taken down, and a "slave bed" that had been hanging on the wall had been placed on the floor.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to a burglary the 1300 block of E. 10th St. on February 26. A home owner reported that copper wire had been stolen from his basement. Police have no suspects at this time.


On February 25, Pettis County deputies arrested Christopher M. Brown of Sedalia for felony driving while revoked/suspended in the 200 block of W. Broadway Blvd.
