Two arrests were made by Sedalia Police after officers were dispatched on July 21 around 2 a.m. to the 1000 block of S. State Fair Blvd. to investigate a suspicious vehicle. A vehicle was parked on the side of the road with people inside and no lights on. After an investigation, an occupant was arrested on a Pettis County warrant. Another person in the vehicle was arrested for failure to obey when he refused to leave. 44-year-old Jason Donavan Stout and 23-year-old Brittany M. Hall were both taken to the Pettis County Jail, where they were booked and released with municipal summonses.


Two residents of Pheonix, AZ were taken into custody on July 25 for possession of methamphetamine, possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana, and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Tracy Beaston and 33-year-old Starla Van Lanker were arrested around 9:18 p.m. Both suspects were taken to the Cooper County Jail where they were placed on a 24-hour hold. Beaston also faces a charge of no valid operator's license.


On July 25, Pettis County Deputies responded to the 1000 block of Midland in La Monte on reports of several unlocked vehicles being broken into and ransacked. An investigation continues.
