A Sedalia woman was arrested just after midnight on July 27 for DWI and driving while revoked. The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Jennifer D. Mather was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


The Pettis County Sheriff's Office took a report of illegal dumping at Upton and Ruffin Rd. in Green Ridge on July 26.


A 19-year-old Sedalia man was issued a municipal summons for marijuana possession and no valid license after a traffic stop on July 25. Sedalia Police say a Dodge Neon was stopped because the registered owner had an active warrant. Police detected the odor of marijuana while making contact with the driver, 19-year-old Don C. Soriano Palmerin. Dispatch advised that the driver did not have a valid license. He was given a court date of August 22.


Officers were dispatched to Menards in Sedalia on July 26 for a report of stealing. The suspect was in the store, and reportedly admitted to stealing after officers made contact with him. The stolen items were returned. 31-year-old Jeremy Allen Schmadeke was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, and was later released.


On July 26 Sedalia Police were dispatched to Menards around 10:12 p.m. for a report of a vehicle break-in. A caller told police that someone had broken into her unlocked truck and stole several items. Later that night, officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a suspect vehicle tied to the theft. The vehicle fled into the county. Deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff's Office and Highway Patrol Troopers picked up the pursuit, which resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle, crashing, and fleeing on foot. The suspect has not been located. The vehicle had been reported stolen from another county. It was towed by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office.
