
Sedalia Area Crime Reports for May 6, 2017
On Friday (May 5), Pettis County Sheriff's deputies took a report of possession of a controlled substance in the jail. Deputies reported that Candace R. Yingling was placed on a 24-hour hold. The investigation continues.
Around 10:30 Thursday night (May 4), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near West Broadway and Mitchell Road. According to the report, the driver had a suspended license. Police arrested 32-year-old William A. Maupins-deml and placed him on a 24-hour hold in the Pettis County Jail, pending state charges for driving while suspended.
Just after 5:00 Thursday evening (May 4), Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 16th Street, between S. State Fair Blvd and Thompson Blvd, for improper lane usage and speeding. According to the report, a computer check revealed the driver had a suspended license. The driver, 32-year-old Leah Fawn Ferolito, was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where she was booked and released, with a court date of June 7.
Around 6:45 Thursday night (May 4), Sedalia Police took a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1700 block of North Engineer. The victim stated an ATV was stolen sometime in the last week. The victim stated there was a cut in one of the fenders for the pull string and there is a PVC pipe that runs from under the ATV to the top of the back fender. There were no further details listed in the report.
Around 2:00 Saturday morning (May 6), the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 28-year-old Austin R. Draffen, of Tipton, for driving while intoxicated. The arrest was made in Pettis County and Draffen was taken to the Pettis County Jail.
