Sedalia Police were dispatched to an injury accident at E. Broadway Blvd. and S. Hancock Ave. around 4:42 a.m. on April 29. Police say an investigation revealed that the accident was caused by an intoxicated person. 25-year-old Levi M. Hudnut was arrested for felony DWI and was placed on a 24-hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


On April 29, officers were dispatched to Crown Hill Cemetery for a report of unidentifiable bones that a caller thought could be human. After meeting the caller, police were shown where the bones had been found, and other bones were located throughout the area. The coroner responded and collected the bones for identification.


Police say an 18-year-old Sedalia man was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after they responded to Fav Trip on W. Broadway on April 28 around 12:24 a.m. Officers were called to the convenience store for a subject check, and the man gave them permission to search his person. Police report locating marijuana and a digital scale with marijuana residue. Anthony K. Richardson was issued summonses for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, and was released with a court date.


A Sedalia man was arrested on April 28 after her vehicle struck another vehicle, four road signs, and a residence in the 1900 block of S. Grand Ave. Police responded to a traffic accident at Broadway and Grand around 11:30 p.m. and discovered the suspect vehicle leaving the scene. A traffic stop was initiated and the vehicle then went into a yard and struck a residence. Police say 41-year-old Luis Enique Pardo was intoxicated and had a suspended license out of Colorado. Pardo was placed under arrest. Police say there were no injuries in the accident.


Sedalia Police were dispatched to Walmart on April 28 at 11:24 p.m. on a trespassing complaint. Police say store management wanted to people removed. After speaking with the individuals, an investigation revealed one of them to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. 30-year-old Christopher G. Smith of Auburn, AL was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold.


Two people were arrested on April 28 around 4:30 a.m. when Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 600 block of W. 4th St. for a report of a vehicle playing loud music. Upon arrival, police saw two occupants sitting in the vehicle, in the roadway, without any lights on. Police report seeing open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle, and a search led to the discovery of marijuana, two open bottles of alcohol, and a can fashioned into a marijuana pipe. 29-year-old Naiser Angei and 27-year-old Jeff Sango were arrested for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and having an open container of alcohol. Both were booked and released from the Pettis County Jail with a court date.
